This research was made possible thanks to the fundamental support of the coordination of the School of Architecture and Urbanism, the Graduation Program in Architecture and Urbanism of the Universidade Mackenzie and the Magnificent Rector of Mackenzie Presbyterian University, who granted professor Dr.Ruth Verde Zein an exceptional sabbatical year , thus allowing her full commitment to her research duties during the year of 2008.

MACKPESQUISA
Mackpesquisa - Mackenzie Research Funding has financially supported the Institutional Research Project “Paulista Brutalist Architecture: digital data bank”, which allowed the creation of this website, the technical equipment used in the research, funding for study trips and the grants for undergraduate and graduate students that worked in the research team. CAPES- SPECIAL PROGRAMS COORDINATION, BRAZILIAN MINISTRY OF EDUCATION
Prof.Dr.Ruth Verde Zein’s doctoral thesis received the CAPES AWARD 2006, entitling her to a post-doctoral grant in Brazil for a year. The post-doctoral studies were undertaken within the History and Design Aesthetics Department of the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning at USP – State University of São Paulo, where she developed the “Exemplary works of the P aulista Brutalist architecture”, supervised by Prof.Dr.Paulo Júlio Valentino Bruna. This research material has also been used in this site.

 
 

PIBIC/Mackenzie
The architects Paula Mastrocola and Julio Beraldo Valente, while undergraduate students at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of Mackenzie Presbyterian University, under Prof. Dra.Ruth Verde Zein’s supervision, have respectively developed in 2007 a scientific research, with PIBIC grants by name “Paulista Brutalist Architecture, documentation and diffusion – exemplary works (1964-1974)”, and “ Paulista School Brutalist Architecture, documentation and diffusion – Initial works (1953-1963)”; whose material has also been used in this site.

FAPESP/Junior scientific research
The architect Julio Beraldo Valente carried out in 2008, while an undergraduate student  at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of Mackenzie Presbyterian University, under Prof. Dra.Ruth Verde Zein’s supervision, a junior scientific research with a FAPESP grant, having developed the research “The architecture of the P aulista brutalist school, documentation and diffusion – exemplary works”, in continuation of his PIBIC research, whose material has also been used in this site.
